LDE Student Election Debate – “Futureproof – Nederland in Transitie”

The brief
In collaboration with Leiden University and Erasmus University, TU Delft organised a political debate ahead of the 2025 general election. Current and aspiring members of the House of Representatives debated topics such as AI and technology, resilient society, and healthcare, while a panel of researchers provided live fact-checking during the event.

Behind the scenes
Our role was to livestream the debate to YouTube in a way that felt clear, reliable, and easy to follow. Productions like this are less about spectacle and more about timing, focus, and making sure the audience can stay with the conversation. It was a compact setup, but one where coordination mattered. Debates move quickly, so the livestream has to keep up without ever becoming distracting.

Why this one stood out
What made this project interesting was its pace and precision. The format is straightforward on paper, but in practice it asks for quick decisions, clean switching, and constant attention to the flow of the discussion. When it works, the production almost disappears — which is exactly the point.
