As of January 1, 2024, the Faculty of Mechanical, Maritime and Materials Engineering (3mE) has changed its name to Mechanical Engineering. The NewMedia Centre was asked to produce a short video to promote this change at the front of the faculty building.

By prioritising practical applications, the platform aims to make innovative, immersive education accessible and adaptable to diverse teaching contexts.
The Media Lab is developing a 3D scanning service using the Creaform Go Scan, testing workflows and creating user-friendly instructions. The scanner captures detailed models of objects, while a new application will automate optimization and export to formats like glTF and FBX for various applications.
